Casa Popolo Andermatt

It’s a pretty average place to stay, but everything was clean and I can’t think of anything important to complain about. Fine for a night or two.

We’ve been coming back to Casa Poppolo for years. Every room has three beds, a bathroom, and built-in wardrobes. Coop and the ski lift are both about a five-minute walk away. In the evening, The Chedi Club next to Coop is a great place to spend some time 😄

The gondola to Gemsstock and the train station are both an easy walk away. The shared rooms are basic, each with a small bathroom and shower, and some have balconies. On the ground floor there’s an air-conditioned room for shoes and gear, while the top floor has a large space for events or groups. The kitchen, which is well equipped and has a refrigerator, is in the annex along with a storage room. Free Wi-Fi only reaches a small part of the buildings.

I was staying here through the Suntrip program. The welcome was excellent, just like last year. It was very pleasant to get a good night's sleep before setting off again to tackle the Alpine passes by bike.
