Hotel Mon Repos

The location is great, just across from one park and with another nearby. Both have plenty for people of all ages, so it works well for families despite the businesslike clientele. It’s an easy walk to the lakeside boulevard, and public transport is close by. Breakfast has nice options, too. A very nice hotel and well priced compared with other places in the area.

The buffet had lots of breakfast options and was nice, and the room was a good size. Mon Repos park is across the road, with a bus stop and water taxi stop nearby. One thing about the shower: you have to hold the shower head the whole time. The bath is very deep, so if your mobility is limited, ask whether they have an accessible room. There’s no bar service on Friday or Saturday, which I assume is because the hotel mainly caters to business clients. All in all, a nice stay.

The staff were exceptionally helpful and professional, and breakfast was quite good. My room was spacious for Geneva, clean, and quiet, with a pretty good location too. I have no complaints, really. Some of it is what you expect in Switzerland, but I’d happily stay here again and recommend it.

We’d confirmed by phone and email beforehand that I’d be staying with my relative. Even so, the reception staff caused problems when we arrived and treated us disrespectfully. They were extremely rude, even verbally aggressive. A very disappointing experience, and I definitely wouldn’t recommend it.
