I ate alone here in late February and had an incredible dinner. The service was attentive without hovering, and the recommendations were phenomenal. Let the lovely servers tell you what they like and go with their suggestions. The Italian chef came out for a quick chat and explained the ingredients, including his work with local farmers. He makes little amuse-bouche to start, and even the cracker bread is delicate. The dessert was the highlight for me: blueberries picked in summer, frozen, then served in a yogurt parfait. Just sweet enough to make me really happy. Thanks, boys, for making my evening!

At Bären Restaurant in Andermatt, we chose the surprise menu, and every dish was full of flavor, beautifully presented and seriously tasty. You can tell a lot of care goes into the cooking. Johan and Andrea were warm and attentive, and made us feel welcome all evening. Dani, the chef, came by our table to ask if everything was good. His passion really comes through in the food. Highly recommended if you’re visiting Andermatt and want a memorable meal.

We turned up at Zum Baeren restaurant without a reservation, not knowing what to expect, and they welcomed us and seated us quickly. The food was superb, and the service was impeccable too. Keep this place in mind. We think it deserves a Michelin star and hope it gets one soon!

We had a wonderful snowboarding trip in Andermatt. The station is a 10-minute walk away and the Gondola is five minutes on foot. Our room was clean and classically styled, and the staff were friendly. Breakfast was simple but tasty, with coffee, eggs, ham, milk, yogurt, bread, fruit and more. The fine dining restaurant on the first floor is a must-try too. We went for à la carte instead of the course menu, and it was delicious. Such a good meal after a full day on the slopes. Highly recommend this hidden gem in Andermatt.

The kitchen gave us the warmest welcome we've ever had. The meal took 2-3 hours, but the delicious food and all the new flavors made it worthwhile. I'd recommend the ravioli with amarettini. It wasn't cheap, though.
