Claire was a very kind host, and the room was simple and clean. The garden she looks after is lovely, and the village and scenery around it are peaceful and beautiful. Definitely worth a visit. I’d like to come back.

I slept like a baby in my super nice room, and the morning view was truly beautiful. This little place in the mountains is a gem. The host was so kind and helpful, always smiling, and even waited for me when I arrived a bit late. Thanks for that. I’d happily return anytime. Greetings from Hungary.
There are sheep, cows, and other farm animals around the property, and Claire has a pet cat named Moutee. She was polite and welcoming, and made a real effort to communicate, even using a German-English dictionary. She mostly speaks German and knows some basic English. The room is small and tidy. We had a great time here.
Cows can come right up to your window here, since Claire’s lovely property sits next to a farm. She also has a friendly cat. It’s well placed between the edge of Appenzell and Stinegg, with farmland walks offering views of the hills and mountains. Stinegg train station and the restaurant are just a quick walk down the hill and over a bridge.
Really nice and simple, and clean too. Thanks so much. I’d be happy to come back.
