The view around the property is lovely, though our room was supposed to overlook the mountains and a tree blocked the entire window, so there was no view from it. Service was fine. The price is hard to beat for a room with Wi-Fi and free parking, so I wouldn't complain too much, but the room quality was very average at best. Our room was especially dusty, enough to draw shapes in it. The beds are very hard, the blanket paper-thin, and there's no ventilation. Just a heads-up about what to expect for the price in this area. For a couple of nights as a place to sleep, it's fine. Don't expect much from breakfast: it was tiny, had no meat or cheese, and was made up of products that keep for a long time. The coffee, though, was amazing.

Dinner was the highlight: exceptionally good Ticinese specialties, reminiscent of Lombardy cuisine 😉. The Osso Bucco and veal stew came with polenta that was surprisingly tasty. This is a small locanda with just 7 rooms and a little restaurant. We spent one night there. The rooms aren't large, but they were clean and well cared for. The owners were thoughtful and very hospitable, including finding options for one of us who can't eat gluten. Highly recommended.

Locanda La Pignatta sits in a lovely spot at the end of the valley and bus line. We felt at home during our 4 day stay. The garden behind the hotel, tasty breakfast, and a Ticinese petanque field were lovely extras. Looking forward to coming back to this authentic place.
