We’ve been back to this lovely hotel many times over the past ten years. The atmosphere is always great, and the employees are so friendly and helpful that we keep wanting to return. We’ve had a fantastic stay every time.

We spent the day enjoying the pool and having lunch, and both were lovely. The lunch service was great, with staff who were very friendly, spoke lots of languages, and paid close attention to us. The food was wonderful. There were some children yelling in the pool that morning, as children do, but once they left, it was peaceful and we could take in the views from the little balcony and its loungers. A great experience!

The location is stunning, and the rooms have first-class comfort and equipment. This was our second stay, and the staff were friendly and very capable. Nearly everything was perfect. We’re looking forward to coming back, especially once the planned new pool is ready.

The views across the lake and surrounding mountains are spectacular, and the hotel feels peaceful and charming, tucked into the hills above Lake Maggiore. We found the rooms very comfortable and the service terrific. The restaurant is excellent, too. You can walk into town if you don’t mind a healthy stroll, or take the bus one stop.

The restaurant is a must, and the service was great. We found a few French speakers, and everything else was handled smoothly too. Our junior suite was lovely, with a wonderful terrace overlooking the lake. The bus stop is nearby, though buses are infrequent on weekends. Ascona center has more bus connections, and the walk there is pleasant.
