That 12:00 checkout made our last morning feel unhurried, and the reception team made us feel at home right away by showing us to the room themselves. We stayed two nights at Hotel Tamaro and loved the lake view from our room. It felt like great value for the price. Charming place in a perfect spot in Ascona, we'd happily recommend it.

Our room was really comfortable, and it was great that dogs are welcome. The family who own and run this lovely waterfront hotel were great to us. We'd stay here again.

The room felt a little old fashioned, but it was spotless, and the bathroom was modern and very clean. The hotel sits right by the lake, close to all the restaurants and shops. Staff were friendly too.

I'm already missing Hotel Tamaro. The people there and the team were so lovely, and I was very happy with my comfortable room. Being right by the sea was beautiful. I imagine it must be great for New Year's, with the lights over the lake. Thank you again, and Merry Christmas! Highly recommended.

The room was clean and nice, and the location is great, but breakfast was a terrible experience. The buffet selection was quite poor, and getting anything meant chasing after the staff. Fried eggs were the only option I could order. They arrived very raw, and after I complained, I was brought burnt eggs. The worst restaurant experience I've ever had.
