Seven Boutique Hotel

We were a group of six adults in three double rooms at Seven Boutique Hotel in May 2025. The breakfast was delicious, with plenty to get the day started, though the buffet area is cramped. Going early or after the busy period is probably best. All the staff, from reception to the waiting staff, were warm and hospitable. The hotel’s spread across several buildings, which gives it a charming, authentic feel, but rooms vary in size and views, so they’re not all directly comparable. Its spot right by the lake puts you in the heart of Ascona. I could easily see myself staying here again when I return.

The breakfast service was really poor and disorganized, which was a shame. The hotel itself is lovely, with spacious, nice rooms, a comfortable bed, and everything was clean. Great location too, though it can be noisy and you can hear the neighbors.

I got a free upgrade, which was nice, and the room’s design was appealing, especially the bathroom. The hotel is by the lake in Ascona’s old town, but there’s no parking for cars at the hotel. Sound carries a lot: you can hear what’s happening outside the room and quite a bit from the neighboring rooms, so I wouldn’t pick it in high season. The internet also didn’t work, and there was no network available in the room.

The view was beautiful and the bedroom was modern and very clean. It was a little noisy, though things got pretty quiet around 11 pm. We were very pleased with our stay and will definitely come back.
