Romantik Hotel Le Vignier

The food and the view at the restaurant were amazing, but the service really disappointed me. We were more or less ignored throughout lunch, waited far too long to order, and our wine never arrived. The pasta portion was meant for three people, which is just wasteful. There were also about 100 flies on the way to the bathroom. I hope they sort these things out, because I’d be happy to come back.

The restaurants were very nice, and the food and wine were great. Breakfast was enjoyable too, and the staff were polite and friendly. The room was comfortable, clean, and well appointed, with a fantastic lake view. The bathroom was good, though the shower pressure was a bit low, and air conditioning would have been nice. It was a bit expensive, but worth it. Looking forward to our next visit.

The terrace has one of the best views in the region. The brasserie has served consistently great food over the past years, with a varied menu and sensible portions. The service is generally great too. A regional staple.

I still noticed the gap between the two twin beds they pushed together. A big, thin mattress on top would have helped. The room setup for drinks could use some basics too: just two espresso cups with two Nespresso capsules, one coffee cup that was too small for tea, and no water glasses. We ended up drinking water from wine glasses. It seems like an easy thing to sort out, though it wasn't a huge problem. The hotel itself is modern, quiet, and well located, with breathtaking views from the rooms. For a short weekend by car with plans to spend time out and about, it's a very good option. Good, but not perfect.
