The staff were really friendly, and for a short, “cheap” stay by Swiss standards, this is a decent option. I probably won’t return, though. The rooms were clean and tidy for the price, but even though everyone in my group paid for the same room type, their sizes and comfort varied a lot. Mine was on the top floor under the roof. The bathroom was spacious with a huge shower, but the room was around 25°C when it was about 8°C outside. Getting the AC set up was complicated, and once it was on, it sounded like a vacuum cleaner, far too loud to sleep through. With the windows open, the city-centre noise was loud too. I had a terrible night. Overall, it was okay for the price, maybe comparable to an Ibis Budget.

The rooms are very small and didn’t look like the one shown on the website when we booked. Wifi barely worked most of the time. There’s no elevator, and the stairs are small and steep, so getting luggage to the room was very difficult. We weren’t given extra towels, pillows, or a comforter. The hotel wasn’t worth what we paid, and we wouldn’t recommend staying here.

The room was 30°C because the A/C was broken, and the windows wouldn’t close properly. It also wasn’t dust free. When I asked for another room, staff said none were available, then brought in a mobile A/C that didn’t work either. I insisted on a new room, and they eventually moved me to a neighbouring Hotel.

For what we paid, it was a decent hotel in a great spot, very close to the train and bus station. The beds were hard as a rock and not especially comfortable, though I guess that comes down to personal preference.

The breakfast menu was limited, but everything on offer was excellent. The staff were knowledgeable, courteous, and lovely, and we had a great stay. We’ll definitely stay again.
