The Passage Urban & Lifestyle Hotel

The breakfast was fantastic for a buffet, especially the scrambled eggs, which may have been the best I've had at one. Having such a good breakfast included matters in Switzerland, where food is expensive. The staff were wonderful, and Claire, who checked us in, handled our requests afterward and suggested somewhere for a late dinner. Everyone we met was kind and helpful. We had booked the Passage Suite but got upgraded to a loft. It's a nice space, reached by its own elevator, with only three rooms on that floor. We usually like having a separate bedroom and living room, while this loft was basically one large studio, but we still enjoyed it. The Passage is a lovely place, and I'd definitely stay again. It's a short walk from the old town. For a less touristy area with more locals, you can walk down the road from the hotel entrance.

Breakfast was delicious, and the staff were friendly and helpful. We also found the rooms quiet, spacious, and comfortable. The location worked perfectly for us, about a 10-minute walk from the station and another 10 minutes into town. It was great value, and we'd absolutely come back.

The hotel is modern with spacious rooms, around a 10-minute walk from the old town, and close to public transport, which is free for tourists.

We came to see Basel's Christmas markets, and the location worked really well, including being close to the airport bus. The staff were very helpful and arranged a late checkout. Our room was spacious and comfortable, and breakfast had a nice variety. I'd highly recommend the hotel.
