We only stayed for one day, but it was still one of the best hotel stays I've had. The rooms were clean and very hygienic, with an absolute view, and the staff were so cheerful and sweet. I can't remember the receptionist's name, but one man gave us two cat plushies. Thanks to him, he's the GOAT. Each floor also has a water tank where you can refill your bottle, which was especially useful since everything is closed on Sundays. I think this is the best hotel in Bern and maybe all of Switzerland. If you're in Bern, COME TO THIS HOTEL.

We spent eight nights here with our seven-year-old daughter in an executive room, and we were all happy with it. Smart interior design made the room feel bigger than it was, and the free public transport passes were great for getting to the town center.

The front desk was fabulous, and thanks for surprising my mum for her birthday. Everything went well otherwise: staff were respectful, very helpful, and kindly kept our luggage for us. The one issue was a woman at the bar. I was shocked by the way she spoke to a customer, so we decided to go back to our room instead of staying there. There was a spiderweb hanging above our bed, which traumatized my kids. The front desk came and cleaned it up. Then we found the window wasn't working, so we had to change rooms.

We stayed over New Year 2026 and really enjoyed the atmosphere. The staff were incredibly friendly, and breakfast was very good with plenty of choice. Tram 9 stops right outside, making it easy to hop on and off around Bern, including the Christmas markets. Lots to explore, and it felt very safe. I'd highly recommend this hotel.

The hotel made for a wonderful stay. We could get to Bern station easily by tram, with the stop just a short walk away. Staff at reception were welcoming, and we enjoyed breakfast. They also kindly stored our luggage after checkout until we were ready to leave, which was very convenient. I'd highly recommend Novotel Bern Expo for families.
