Hotel Dischma Lugano

We stayed just one night, and it's an experience we'll remember. Loud music and banging went on until 3:30 a.m., so sleeping was impossible. Nobody from the “hotel” did anything. When we complained in the morning, they said we should have called the police. We were the guests, and they expected us to call? A terrible stay. I wouldn't recommend it.

The lady at reception was so polite and welcoming, and the service was excellent. We had a really comfortable stay.

The room was okay, but there wasn't a table to work at. The bathroom had very poor lighting, and its opaque window faces the balcony of the next room, which felt puzzling and not very private. Noise was another problem, from both the hotel and other guests. The laundry room is right by a couple of rooms and starts up at 7:00 a.m., so sleeping in is unlikely. I don't recommend this hotel.

When we checked out the next morning, we were told there'd be no refund because we could have moved rooms. But after seeing the dirty room and very old bathroom, we didn't want to change rooms, we wanted to leave. The bed was covered in hair, and when we reported it at reception, they gave us fresh sheets to remake the bed ourselves. That was disgusting. There was also little privacy in the bathroom, since the neighboring room's balcony was right outside its window and someone was always sitting there. We lost a lot of money for very poor service.
