B&B Brienz

B&B Brienz was such a dreamy place to stay. Our spycher apartment had a peaceful, picturesque view, and the room was clean and spacious with a very comfortable bed. It was quiet enough that we mostly heard nature, with maybe the morning train to Rothorn passing outside the window. Breakfast was delicious.

This is a unique, beautiful old B&B, and very impressive. Two things were a problem for us. The room door lintels are very low, which could hurt if you’re over 5'6". Also, because of the old construction, noise from neighbors carries a lot if you happen to get noisy ones. Maybe a simple sign in each room asking guests to keep to Swiss standards of quietness would help?

The hostess was VERY accommodating, and check-in was easy thanks to the self check-in. Rooms were clean, fairly private, and had their own bathrooms. The views were amazing, though make sure you book a room with a view. I believe only one room doesn’t have a good one. Watching the sunset and waking up to that gorgeous view over the town was a dream. I’d definitely book again when visiting the Brienz/ Interlaken area.

We stayed for three nights and enjoyed everything. The room was spacious and very clean, with a wonderful lake view from the window. We shared a bathroom with other guests, but it was always clean. Breakfast was great: fresh bread, different kinds of cheese and meat, and a coffee machine that makes a lovely latte. The grapes were so sweet, and Christina, a nice and interesting lady who works there, even picked fresh figs for us. They were delicious. The hotel staff we met, Christina and Raffaela, were both helpful and nice. There’s also a kitchen where you can cook your own food, and we made good use of it. My husband and I would definitely love to come back. Thank you for everything!
