The kitchen was nicely equipped, and I could cook on the electric stove and warm things up in the microwave. The room itself was a good size, the bed was comfortable, and the building was clean and fairly quiet. Check-in was easy, and I liked the big downstairs gym and the sparkling water fountains. The room supplies were pretty limited, though, just basic body wash and no shampoo, conditioner or lotion. It’s fine for a few days, but at that price I expected more standard hotel amenities.

We got there a little early in heavy rain, so finding the room already ready was a huge help. The check-in directions were clear, and the staff were very helpful. We had what we needed before we even arrived.

I was left waiting for over an hour because I hadn’t been told check-in was unmanned and didn’t have the code to get the keycard for the hotel entrance. Calling the helpline got me nowhere. In the end, my office managed to reach the hotel’s 24-hour helpline and sort things out. The check-in information was patchy.

This was my second stay at "46a | apart'hôtel", and I had a really good time there. The lake is close by, and having a gym and sauna in the hotel is another plus. The room had what I needed for cooking too, including a fridge, stove, kettle, Nespresso machine, pans, pots, utensils and cutlery. Believe me, cooking for yourself in Lausanne is much cheaper than eating at restaurants. I’d definitely recommend staying here.
