Hotel Seebüel

The hotel was lovely and very quiet, with excellent rooms and bathrooms. The staff treated us wonderfully, and breakfast at the restaurant was great, with a beautiful mountain view. There was lots of snow around, and the lake was completely covered in snow. The mountain scenery was gorgeous. Thank you.

The lake view was a highlight, and our two-year-old had a great time in the playroom. Hotel Seebüel has a simple concept but had everything we needed as a couple with our son. We booked three nights, then extended to five because we loved it so much. The food and service were wonderful, and staff gave us lots of tips for making the most of Davos, including snow hikes and ski tours. Free sledges and a guest card covering public transport in and around Davos were included. We’d absolutely recommend this place.

The service was really rude. They have a salad buffet with small, medium, and large plates. My father chose medium, but while he was still serving himself, a waitress shouted that it was too much and that he’d have to pay for the largest plate, even though he was still welcome to take a medium portion. Stay away from this place!

We stopped in for a snack, the three of us, me, my husband, and my six-year-old son. We couldn’t see any staff when we came into the restaurant, so we started looking for a table. One of the seated people said hello in German and seemed offended. We said hello back, then realized those guests were actually staff. They spoke German and made fun of us among themselves. We weren’t sure they were talking about us, so we stayed and ordered a snack. The waitress was respectful, but that bit of kindness wasn’t enough to make us come back. It was our first time in Davos, and I had considered this hotel for a future visit because it looked good from outside. We definitely won’t return or recommend it. We’d rather suggest other places to sleep and eat. I saw online that they have plenty of customers, but that doesn’t give the staff a right to be arrogant with guests. One star for the little bit of kindness we did get.
