Hotel Chemihüttli

The mountain scenery is the real highlight, with Alpine peaks appearing through the clouds and beautiful views at sunrise and in the mist. The rooms were spotless and restful, and the staff were warm and accommodating. A lovely retreat in Switzerland's stunning Xalp region.

We spent three days here, pretty much living in the clouds, with amazing mountain views all around. It's about a 9.5 km drive up mountain roads, and the trip up and down takes around 20 minutes and is fun. Our apartment was clean, cozy, and nice, with a spacious balcony for breakfast or coffee. Each morning there was a breakfast basket, and the hosts were super friendly. There's plenty of parking right outside, games and toys for kids, and a vending machine for late night snacks. We really enjoyed the stay.

The location is probably the best part, with beautiful views all around. The apartment is comfortable and fully furnished, and the hosts are very nice and helpful. I'd gladly come back and definitely recommend it.

It gets cold enough for the ground to be slippery, so come prepared. There aren't any stores close by, so bring food and other supplies before arriving. The place itself is very quiet up in the mountains, with clean rooms and apartments, a peaceful setting, and staff who are helpful and always smiling.
