Hotel Lindenhof

The staff made us feel welcome, from the helpful, accommodating receptionist to our kind and friendly server. The restaurant was a treat, especially the fondue, and the breakfast buffet had great pastries and freshly squeezed orange juice. We loved being near Lake Brienz, with far fewer tourists than around Iseltwald or Interlaken, but the same lake views. Our room looked out over the lake in this beautiful old Swiss chalet, full of history. It's an old building, so don't expect much soundproofing. There are interesting extras like sauna and hot tubs that you can arrange. I wish we could've stayed longer. One tip: arrange the hotel shuttle to or from the train station if you have luggage. We hiked up a very steep hill on arrival and nearly died, so don't do that! I can't wait to visit again.

I tried the butter chicken curry made by Chef Mr. Tejas, and it was amazing. The flavors were rich and so well balanced, unlike anything I've tasted before. His warm hospitality also made us feel comfortable and welcome. You can tell how much care he puts into both the cooking and the guest experience. A meal from Chef Tejas is an experience in itself, highly recommended.

The scene outside my room was almost surreal: Lake Brienz sparkling below, with the Rothorn steam train passing every 30 minutes. I stayed 5 nights at Hotel Lindenhof by Crossworld AG, and the warmth and welcome from check-in made the whole visit feel special. The multi-cuisine restaurant became part of that experience too. The meals were flavorful, beautifully presented, and the restaurant staff made each one feel even more special. We'd planned to try other places in town, but after the first night we had dinner there almost every evening because nothing else matched the taste and quality. Stunning views, wonderful food, and heartfelt hospitality made this an extraordinary stay. I'd wholeheartedly recommend it, and can't wait to return.

The garden is picture perfect, and dining outside with views of Lake Brienz was the highlight for us. The hilltop location is beautiful, and the hotel makes it easier with free transfers to the train station at check-in and check-out. Staff were courteous and helpful. We also enjoyed the clean rooms, varied breakfast, and heated indoor pool. Just back from a great stay at Hotel Lindenhof, Brienz.
