There’s a big garage for storing bikes and charging their batteries, and the Wi-Fi in the rustic rooms works fine. The hotel has a traditional feel, with lots of paintings to look at. Sabine and Pierre were wonderful hosts. They shared plenty of stories about the rings they used to have in Spain, and Pierre is clearly passionate about cooking. We talked about food for ages over a very good dinner. I loved the Spätzle, and got to try his excellent Goulash too. Their relaxed manner and full lives made it feel like catching up with old friends. Breakfast was fantastic: local meats and cheese, yoghurt, homemade bread and jelly, and really good coffee. Make sure to stop by for Pierre’s dishes and his homemade crunchy Wurzelbrot.

The apartment was lovely, light and airy, with a rustic touch. We had a wonderful stay, and the hosts were friendly and charming. The food was absolutely delicious. I can highly recommend both the hotel and restaurant.

The interior feels cosy, breakfast is generous, and the value for money is great. The owners are very friendly, the place is super clean, and the service is excellent. There’s a superb French chef in the kitchen preparing amazing menus.

The hosts are over their 75s, and the rudeness was so obvious you could bite it. A terrifying experience. Never again!
