Breakfast was the highlight, with all sorts of delicious, high-quality options: avocado toast, poached eggs, cornflakes, pancakes, French toast, and fresh fruit juice. We stayed four days with our whole family, including infants, and everything for traveling with small children was well organized. The staff were incredibly friendly and quick to help with extra needs. Our spacious, comfortable deluxe rooms had large balconies and all the amenities we needed. Facilities include indoor and outdoor pools, a sauna, steam bath, and private access to Lago Maggiore. There’s also a playground and life-size chess field just 20 meters away, and the hotel can book a tennis court. We had a wonderful time and would gladly come back.

This was our fourth visit to Sunstar Brissago. Rita, Oliver, and the rest of the staff are welcoming and friendly, and the suites are tastefully decorated with terraces overlooking the lake. The hotel has indoor and outdoor pools, and Lago Maggiore is just a two-minute walk away. It’s also well placed for Isole di Brissago, with the boat station five minutes on foot. The kind staff will gladly help arrange a taxi boat too. We really enjoy the food, from the breakfast menus to the à la carte lunch and dinner.

This was one of my most memorable hotel stays. The staff put so much care and passion into making guests comfortable, more than I’ve experienced at any hotel recently. The owners take wonderful care of the dogs too. The beer tasting was great, and you could tell the owner and staff were sharing something they truly love.
