The rooms are spacious, and having a kitchen bench and mini fridge was handy. There’s no A/C, but they supplied a powerful electric fan. Very close to a bakery and restaurants.

The location and the service left us very disappointed, especially the way our complaints were handled. We booked about nine rooms through an agent and were told someone would meet us in the lobby to help. He was angry and loudly asked what time we had checked in and why we were only complaining then. When I said the pillows were thin in general, he wouldn’t accept that and insisted I name specific room numbers. The hotel is old, and so are its facilities. The rooms are small, and the bathroom was extremely cramped. It was hard to move around, so I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone who fears tight spaces. We were told to close the bathroom door while showering and not to boil water in the room. Hot water meant going down to the very small lobby. The pillows were paper-thin, some of the room carpet was damaged, there was no air conditioning and ventilation was poor. There were no amenities, even though I asked at the front desk. Breakfast was bad. The fried rice was cold, there was only one kind of bread, and the restaurant seemed unhygienic, with many wild birds flying around inside the enclosed area. Given the facilities, service, and way problems were handled, I don’t think this hotel deserves four stars, especially in Switzerland. If you don’t want your vacation ruined, I think you should avoid it.

We had a nice stay overall, and the hotel and restaurant staff were really friendly. The location was great too. But the place is extremely outdated. The rooms were okay, though some lamp plugs were broken and looked a bit dangerous, and the bathroom was very small. Some parts definitely didn’t feel worth the money, sorry.

The hotel is close to the lake, shops, and restaurants, which is a great location. The building is older and needs repairs and upgrades. Cleaning was fair but could have been better. Staff were rarely at reception since they were also helping in the restaurant. The food was fair, but it wasn’t to my taste or selection.
