The restaurant is great, and the service and counter staff are kind and capable. But the rooms feel cramped, with nowhere to work, and there’s no air conditioning, just a very loud fan. The room lights are really dim at night, and the plugs are all European style. A table with enough room for a laptop is badly needed. Water used from the minibar wasn’t replaced unless I asked. I arrived at 23:00 and found the shower gel empty, but couldn’t find anyone to help. After 00:00 there was no one at the counter, and the lobby lights were completely off.

We could eat dinner on the balcony while watching the sunset, which was lovely. The room and bathroom were bright, large, and spotless. I felt fine walking barefoot, even in the bathroom, and let my baby play on the floor without a blanket because it felt as clean as home. Everything was shiny, with no dust anywhere. There was plenty to choose from at breakfast, though I missed having fresh vegetables. It was a little confusing when staff asked for our room number while serving coffee, since we weren’t sure if it cost extra or whether we could have more than one cup. Still, it was a wonderful stay, and I’d recommend it and come back.

The beds and breakfast were both great. It got very hot, though, and there was no air conditioning. They gave us a portable fan, which helped, but the room still felt a bit too warm.

A small, pleasant hotel in Burgdorf, roughly 150 meters from the train station. There’s a bar, a restaurant, and a bistro in the building. The rooms are clean and comfortable.
