Youth Hostel Rapperswil-Jona

The hostel was very clean, had good food, and offered lots of games. Chris and Michelle were helpful hosts. It’s in a lovely, quiet spot near the lake, and the train makes it easy to get to Zürich. I’d highly recommend staying here and would love to return.

It’s a lovely hostel in a convenient location, with comfortable rooms and a good breakfast. The staff were friendly and very helpful, and the manager knew a lot. There’s a playground and games room on site, which makes it brilliant for children. I’ll certainly stay again.

I’d definitely recommend it for families, couples, or groups. The hostel sits right by the lake, with amazing views, and the room and all the relaxed, modern communal spaces were spotless. There’s a small play park on site, plus a couple of larger ones just a short walk away.

Breakfasts were fresh and tasty, with very good coffee, and we also enjoyed the cooked dinner, which was great value. We’re a family of four and stayed for a few nights after flying into Zurich to recover from the international flights before travelling around Europe. Michelle & Chris were welcoming and friendly, and shared some great local tips. Rapperswil is a 20-minute walk along the lake, a short bus ride, or SFr. 20.- by taxi. The location right by the lake is stunning, and the rooms are modern, comfortable, spacious, and quiet. Everything was spotlessly clean. We’d happily stay again and highly recommend it.
