Hotel Drei Könige

The room was small with minimalist decor, but it had all the amenities and was neat and clean. Staff were courteous. The one snag was having no elevator from the entrance up to reception.

We booked a Standard Triple Room for one night. There was enough space for three, though the facilities were basic. Breakfast turned out better than we expected.

We chose this hotel for its easy 5-7 minute walk to the main station, since we needed to catch the Bernina Express early the next morning. Getting to reception with luggage is a pain: there are two flights of stairs from the entrance, and no elevator until the main reception area. The elevator there only fits one person. Room 5, the Historical Room, was a huge disappointment for the price. It felt dated, with very old paneled walls and a window facing dirty walls and windows. I even wondered if there might be mice. There's no air conditioning for hot summer weather, and I wouldn't feel comfortable leaving the window open at night. The bathroom seemed straight out of 1900, small and dated.

Our room on the fourth floor looked newly furnished and was clean and tidy. There was maintenance work happening on the same floor, but it didn't bother us too much. The location is very accessible, about a 10-minute walk away. There are stairs to climb before reaching reception, since there's no lift for that part, though there is a lift to the room.
