Hotel&Restaurant Feldiserhof

Our night at Feldiserhof turned into such a memorable stay. The staff were lovely and did everything they could to help us feel comfortable and at home. We enjoyed dinner at the restaurant, especially the pumpkin soup, the perfectly cooked dear with spaetzli, and the Apfelstrudel with homemade vanilla cream. Breakfast was good too, with delicious scrambled eggs, breads, pastries, cheese, and meats. The room was cozy, and the mountain view from the terrace was incredible. I’d highly recommend this cute, charming hotel.

The room felt cozy and homey, even in this remote mountain area, and the food and view were both amazing. I came across this hotel while traveling through the Swiss mountains and couldn’t have found a better place to stay or eat. The cordon bleu was the best I’ve had, loaded with cheese and served with fries and vegetables on one plate. The staff were amazing too. I’ll stop by whenever I’m nearby. An honest 10/10 for the whole Feldiserhof team.

We left the hotel immediately because we didn’t feel safe. After I posted my original review, the owner was ironic toward us, then the chef came over rudely to ask why we hadn’t liked the food. When we explained, he became ruder and asked where we were from. We said we just wanted to go to our room, but he became offensive and the owner followed us there. I threatened to call the police and film everything, and they left. The chef had become very agitated, and I was concerned for our safety. They say nothing happened and that they have it all on their cctv; we’d like to see it. The positive reviews must be bogus. The place felt cheap throughout, from the linen and rough towels to the plastic shower curtains and flowers on the desk. Parking was about 100 meters away on icy snow, making it dangerous and difficult with luggage. The restaurant felt like a total rip off, with very few overpriced choices even by Swiss standards. The goulash was served in bread that was hard as a rock.

We only tried a few dishes, but the food was gorgeous, and the Cordon Bleu was one of the best in Switzerland, made with local cheese and meat. The Italian spinach with fried egg and parmesan textures was almost heavenly. The view is gorgeous, the rooms are very quiet with amazing balcony views, and the staff are friendly and ready to answer questions about places around the mountain. We highly recommend the food and this place.
