Hotel Restaurant Linde

We managed only one night at KunstHotel Linde, then paid an 80 CHF cancellation fee to leave early. We were glad to pay it. I was pregnant, exhausted, and traveling through Switzerland, and this was one of the most frustrating, impersonal hotel stays I've had. They advertise parking, but there were only a handful of spaces. We had to use a nearby public underground garage that wasn't affiliated with the hotel, wasn't clearly marked, and wasn't convenient. Staff gave no directions or help with our bags as we struggled through town. The room was tiny and oppressively dated, with brownish-orange walls, harsh lights, and a bathroom that seemed not to have been updated in half a century. The elevator had no inner door, and every ride felt unsafe. The staff were cold and rude. Even though I was visibly pregnant, nobody offered help or warmth. When I asked a simple question, I got a snappy, condescending answer. We also had our well-behaved dog with us. Dogs are technically allowed for an extra nightly fee, but while dining we were told to keep ours under the table and out of sight. It felt offensive, like we'd smuggled contraband into their restaurant. KunstHotel Linde felt outdated and without compassion or hospitality. If you're pregnant, traveling with a pet, or just want to be treated like a person, don't stay here. There are better options. Anywhere would be better than this.
