Just a minute from the train station, Frohsinn is surrounded by mountains and close to a beautiful river. It has a lively, welcoming feel and brings a taste of Portugal to Switzerland. The food is freshly made, well seasoned, and really satisfying. I enjoyed the authentic Portuguese flavors, from bacalhau (salted cod) to grilled piri-piri chicken. The cheerful, attentive staff made us feel at home and were happy to suggest dishes if you’re new to Portuguese food. It’s cozy and family-oriented, a nice setting for a get-together or an easy meal with friends. I can see why it’s a local favorite. Whether you live nearby or are passing through, it’s a lovely place to eat.

Too cold in winter and too hot in summer, with too many smokers around. The food, rooms, and managers are all bad. Never again, believe me.

There was no Wi-Fi, and nowhere in the room to charge my phone. The room was also really small and dirty. Just crazy.
