There isn’t much to do in the village beyond hiking, skiing, and enjoying the scenery. We came after skiing at Lauchernalp and found the place cosy and comfortable for the price. Check-in was friendly and efficient. The restaurant food was exceptionally good, and the service felt like being welcomed into a local family’s home.

For a solo traveler, this was the best single room I’ve had. The location and the room’s cleanliness make the price worthwhile, and by Swiss standards it’s more than fair.

The owners made the stay special: they’re friendly, helpful, and delightful hosts. A real jewel in the stunning Valais region.

Always a good meal here, with a nice blend of traditional dishes and classic favourites.

The hotel is close enough to walk to the museum, and Wiler is only a few minutes away. There’s lockable underground parking, too. It has an authentic, nostalgic cosiness, and the beds were so comfortable that we slept really well. The welcome was warm and easygoing, and we felt at home right away. One lovely little thing: in the morning, we stepped out of the room to the smell of freshly brewed coffee.
