We also ate dinner at the restaurant. The food was good, but they completely forgot one of our desserts, and we nearly had to go into the kitchen to ask for it. The hotel's administration was a mess for us. I booked a January night for three people in November. They didn't charge me then, but at the end of December a charge suddenly appeared under a different company name, CHF 15 more than Expedia had shown. I couldn't identify it even after checking everywhere and chatting with an Expedia agent. I thought my card details had been stolen, reported it to my bank, cancelled the card, and tried to get a refund. I only later worked out on my own that it was the hotel. They hadn't contacted me at all. I'd added breakfast when booking, but at check-in they said it wasn't included and asked me to pay extra. I insisted that the amount I'd paid covered it, and they finally checked the system and confirmed I was right. I ended up paying CHF 20 for a replacement card, then CHF 275 again on arrival, even though Expedia had listed CHF 260. They also asked me to pay again for breakfast for all three of us. A month after the stay, I still hadn't received a refund for the first CHF 275, which I had thought was fraud. From my point of view, this was totally unprofessional.

Julie was amazingly helpful when our Glacier Express train to Filsur arrived at 15:41, delayed, and we were trying to catch the historic train at 16:06 to go over the Landwasser Viaduct. With no time to check in, she picked up our luggage and dropped off our visitor cards so we could ride the train and bus for free. The free bus, included with the visitor card, stops right in front of the building. The hotel is also next to a co-op supermarket, which is very convenient. We'd booked a room in the newly renovated section to get a chance to see the Landwasser Viaduct. It was quite good, basic but comfortable. After taking photos at the viewpoint of trains going in and out of the viaduct, we got back around 20:00. Julie had the chef waiting for us. The dinner is highly recommended: the beef cheek was the best, with a very nice presentation, and the fish was good too, with crisp skin and cooked just right. I'd highly recommend staying here if you're interested in the Landwasser Viaduct.

The staff welcomed me warmly, and when I asked for a bowl, they quickly found one and made sure it was the right size. I was bikepacking, booked just a day ahead, and they let me keep my bike in a large, locked garage. My room was on the small side, but very clean and had everything I needed. The bed was small too, though big enough for one person. Breakfast was amazing and clearly put together with care. I don't eat dairy, but didn't feel I was missing out: there was lovely fruit salad with fresh berries and nuts, plus vegan milk and even yogurt. I'd come back.

We were sightseeing in filisur, but Sunday was our only free day and we hadn't realized everything would be closed. Luckily, we found this hotel. The host was very kind and made us feel welcome even though the restaurant was closed.

The owner was so kind with our two young kids and accommodated us as much as she could. The restaurant food and service were great, and the staff made it easy and fun for the kids. It was especially convenient coming back tired from skiing. The room was cozy, nice and clean, with a very comfortable bed and pillow and a breathtaking mountain view. The hotel is only a few minutes' beautiful walk from the train station, and the service was great. We had such an enjoyable stay and highly recommend it!
