Hotel Restaurant Simplon

The garden restaurant outside is nice, and the staff were friendly. The food was great. Inside, the decor feels like a relic from past times. Smokers and non-smokers are both welcome.

I left first thing in the morning to find another hotel, and thank god I did. I didn’t sleep or even undress because I felt unsafe. My partner was in the local hospital, so I was on my own. They showed me two rooms, and I was really distressed. The next room I was given still wasn’t acceptable, but I had little choice. It was truly disgusting. I don’t understand the other review of this place. I urge you never to stay here unless your accommodation standards are the same as a homeless person’s, where anything indoors will do.

The full menu is on their website, and you can get everything as takeaway. The two meals we ordered were delicious and made with love. Thanks very much, see you again soon. Simply the best takeaway in town.

We’ve been coming here for years, and the quality is still the same every time. The staff are friendly, the traditional dishes are good, and the portions are decent.
