Revier Hotel Säntispark

The New Year event was fun, and my son liked the playroom. The hotel’s location is great for the aqua park, which is connected to a small shopping mall. But we were disappointed by breakfast and the room facilities. There was no coffee or tea in the room, just bottles of mineral water on the floor space. Breakfast offered only one warm egg dish, with no changes for guests staying longer. It’s a four-star hotel, and we paid 500 CHF for one night over New Year. We hope they’ll offer more choices.

Breakfast was a lovely example of quality over quantity, with a small range of excellent regional products. The breakfast team were thoughtful, welcoming, and clearly proud of what they do. The Badespass package was also good value compared with admission to the Bäderwelt for two people. Just don’t add breakfast separately, since it’s already part of the package. The receptionist refunded the duplicate charge when I checked out. The renovation has made this a lively, welcoming hotel, with thoughtful touches for modern needs. There’s a 24/7 self-service cocktail maker and a good co-working area with phone booths. There’s no gym in the hotel, but guests can use Activ Fitness across the road for free. My room had a few basic shortcomings that stood out against the hotel’s otherwise strong quality. It felt stuffy, and sleep was only mediocre because the aircon was too loud to run overnight and the curtains let in a lot of light. The mattress was very comfortable, though, and everything else in the room worked perfectly. I had the cheapest room type, so the more expensive ones might be better equipped.

Pascal, Gona, Gazmend, Dina and the rest of the team were incredibly kind and welcoming. The food, cleanliness, staff hospitality, and everything else were beyond what I expected. My stay at Revier Hotel in St. Gallen was fantastic. Highly recommended!

The rooms were spacious, but had a bad smell and an unpleasant view. The receptionist was very nice and friendly. I told the front desk about our concerns and asked them to let the manager know, but there’s been no response so far. Although it was nice outside, the room felt cool and I couldn’t adjust the temperature. The QR code on the cart didn’t work.
