Boutique Hotel Glacier

The Honeymoon Suite made our stay at Glacier Boutique Hotel feel private, peaceful, and perfect for a romantic getaway. It was spacious, beautifully designed, and very comfortable, with mountain views we never got tired of waking up to. The staff were warm and genuinely helpful, and the hotel’s attention to detail stood out. The atmosphere balances luxury with alpine charm. It’s in a quiet, scenic spot that’s still convenient for exploring Grindelwald and the surrounding area. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would recommend the hotel, especially the Honeymoon Suite, to couples looking for something special. We’ll be back.

I didn’t stay at the hotel, but I toured a few rooms and ate lunch and dinner there a couple of times. It has an amazing restaurant downstairs and great views of the mountain range. The hotel is in Grinderwald, about 10-15 minutes down the valley from the station.

We spent nearly $4,000 for four days at Hotel Glacier Grindelwald, booking directly because we wanted a memorable 30th anniversary trip. Instead, we left disappointed and feeling misled. Looking back, we wish we’d stayed at Bergwelt Grindelwald. The room was stuffy, the beds uncomfortable, the air conditioning barely worked, and the jacuzzi was cold. When I called the front desk about the AC, I was told, “open a window or something.” For the price, that response was surprising. Breakfast was another letdown. On our first morning we were only eight minutes late, and I politely asked for a croissant or fruit while the food was still out. The staff refused without any flexibility or warmth. And don’t rely on the image you see on social media, our stay didn’t match it.

We had a really enjoyable three-night stay, with lovely decor, a great location, and beautiful views. Dinner at the restaurant was fantastic too. Breakfast was the one weak point, since the menu had limited choices and could use some attention. Otherwise, we loved the atmosphere and would happily come back.
