Boutique B&B Bellevue Iseltwald

I can only comment on the view since I didn't go into the hotel. We visited iseltwald in October 2025 and spent about two hours there, walking along the lakeside road for an hour and then sitting near the hotel for another hour. There were lots of boats around, and I was happy just taking in the lake view. We'd come from Luzerne, where we'd booked a room at Bellpark hostel Luzerne, traveling via Interlaken. The trip from Interlaken to iseltwald takes 15mns one way. I'd like to experience staying in a lake view hotel next time. I think you could book Airbnb for 2 days and visit Interlaken, titlis and other places. It might cost a little more.

The bathroom was the worst part of the room. Water leaked from the light fixture, so we had to put towels over our heads while using the toilet. The room itself smelled noticeably musty. When we complained, the owner apologized but offered no solution. This place isn't suitable for families with kids, so we moved promptly to Chalet du Lac next door for a better experience. We arrived between 4-5 PM and found no staff on-site. We had only a code from the reservation to get our room keys.

The room was a little small, but clean and had all the essentials. The view in front of the hotel is spectacular, and we enjoyed our stay🥰. The owner was super friendly and helpful.

The view is great and the breakfasts were nice, but we found there was no hospitality at all. Check-in was self-service, with no staff around, and the owner ignored our messages. We had left a very personal item in the room, and even though he said he'd respond, he never did. I saw him reply to other reviews saying people could contact him any time for help, but that wasn't our experience. We tried every channel and got no answer. On checkout day, the water was shut off without warning, leaving us without a shower or toilet. That's totally unacceptable. A great view can't make up for that attitude. I wouldn't recommend it.
