Restaurant Felsenburg

The restaurant is well worth recommending. It’s been a while since I had an Angus steak cooked so perfectly, and the staff were lovely and helpful. Our room was fine, but the bathroom light was a problem: during our stay we had to reset the breaker by hand several times.

I asked for the standard lunch menu without meat, and the friendly woman took care of it. She came back to check whether I wanted vegetables instead, and the result was a delicious, varied selection. It looked good and the portion was a good size. Thank you!

People in Switzerland are usually polite and respectful, with order everywhere from cleanliness to traffic. I regret stopping at this restaurant on my last day before leaving the country. We were met with a very cold welcome. We wanted the famous fondue, but were told it could only be made for two and wasn’t available as a single portion. The menu said “23.5 fr for two people,” yet when the food arrived, the fondue was below average. At the bill, I saw a charge of 47 fr. What was listed on the menu didn’t match what we actually paid. This restaurant is run by people who don’t fit the country.

A welcoming spot with a rustic feel that seems like real Switzerland. The host was friendly, the service very good, and being here was a real pleasure.
