This was meant to be a birthday gift, so I booked a hotel room together with the sauna boat. I couldn't get confirmation by phone or email for days, and after several tries to reach someone, I got an unfriendly refusal. That's a disappointing way to deal with someone who might become a customer.

We had a welcome drink when we arrived, and there were tasty little treats on the house made with produce from the garden and the town of Erlach. Hanspeter and Doris were kind, helpful hosts who were always ready for a laugh. The hotel itself was clean and well cared for, with rooms looking out over Lake Biel and the island. Breakfast was superb. There are beautiful walking and cycling routes all around, and the hotel is in a great spot. Highly recommended!

The owners made us feel very welcome, and breakfast was delicious. We were just passing through and stayed a night at the Hotel Garni. The room was on the small side, but cozy and very clean. Its location is great, with a wonderful view of Lake Biel. ;)

They were flexible and accommodating when we had requests. The room was clean and nice, with a beautiful view and good value for the money. Breakfast was simple but had everything we needed, and was put out with care. Very nice hosts, I'd happily recommend them 😀

We needed a room at short notice while passing through, and even though the hotel was fully booked, they found us a place for the night, actually an apartment. The family atmosphere was so welcoming, and the setting is wonderfully idyllic. The breakfast was hard to describe, everything was simply top-notch. This would get a 5-star plus from me!
