Hôtel Bon Rivage

It's a peaceful place set back from the road, and the lake views are quite spectacular. The staff are consistently polite and friendly. I always enjoy staying here and recommend it without hesitation.

I usually come here with family, but this time I was on a business trip. It's still a perfect base for a few days near Vevey, with an ideal location, a good breakfast, and very kind, courteous staff. Public transport is easy to reach.

Right by the lake and very close to the bus station, so the location was great. The staff were friendly and the room cozy. I would have liked some salads and broiled eggs at breakfast :)

I came to The Racine restaurant for lunch because its menu is inspired by the lovely garden. It was a picturesque day, and I had a table for one with a gorgeous view. The soup and ice cream were the best parts. I also ordered fish and lentils, but the portion of fish was tiny and forgettable, while the lentils arrived cold, hard, and much too late. I felt ignored through the meal. The servers looked after nearby tables, but I had to flag someone down every time I needed service. My solo table seemed like an afterthought, and a guest should never be made to feel that way. When I left, I spoke with a server who spoke English. I did return for the hotel's Sunday yoga and brunch event, which was amazing. I loved the garden yoga class and the buffet, especially the lavender yogurt, cakes, and fresh fruit and vegetables. Please make more effort to treat diners on their own well.
