Service was the best part for us: kind, caring and friendly. We stayed in a double room and loved the clean, comfortable bed and sheets. The place is beautifully kept and very clean, and it’s close to everything. The shared toilet and shower worked fine, with enough sinks. We had a perfect visit and are definitely coming back!

We’re already looking forward to another trip to Langnau and a stay at Emme Lodge. It’s an easy walk to the grocery store, market and station, and the breakfast was tasty, with a good spread of local produce. Andrea and David were always smiling and gave us helpful tips for exploring Langnau. During Langnau Jazz Nights, the whole place was kept spotless, and the washrooms and kitchen were top notch. It was a really comfortable stay.

Our family, including three kids aged 13 to 17, had a great time and will definitely return. A very friendly family runs this impressive old farmhouse, which is a good base for activities around the region where Swiss Cheese (Emmentaler) was first invented. Inside, the rooms keep the building’s history while offering modern comfort. It’s a welcome change from hotels that all look the same, and good value for money.

Andrea was so warm-hearted with us, and we spent three lovely nights at Emme Lodge. Our room was clean and roomy enough for two, with the most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept in. The toilets, showers and very large kitchen are shared, and we saw the kitchen as a bonus. The location and service were just as good as the place itself. Highly recommend!

We only wish we’d booked more than one night. David gave us a very warm welcome and was a super nice host. Staying in an authentic emmentalter farmhouse made the experience special. We came from the US, and it was a great stay. Thanks, David!
