Hotel Wartmann am Bahnhof

We had a very nice, clean room, and breakfast was both tasty and more than enough. A warm welcome and attentive service from the receptionist made our family stay even better. Thanks for everything. If we return, we’ll stay here again.

My room was quiet even though it faces the train station, which is just behind the hotel. It was modern, spotless and comfortable, with a good bed. The staff were friendly, and breakfast was awesome. Highly recommended.

The back garden was a nice private spot, and I felt very safe thanks to the after-hours security system. There’s a coffee machine available around the clock, too. Just be careful not to shut yourself out of the garden, because there’s no way back in. The indoor lounge smelled quite pungent to me, even in the non-smoking area next to it, so I couldn’t really relax there. This was my first time in Switzerland. I stayed five days across two rooms, and both were comfortable. The hotel is conveniently right by the train station, in a quiet area across the tracks from the busy commercial district. Breakfast was fresh and edible, though nothing special. The staff experience was mixed: one receptionist was friendly and patient, but the front desk manager was rude and seemed annoyed by our questions.

After 7 pm, getting into the hotel seems impossible. I was stuck outside the locked door until a guest happened to leave. With no staff around, I had to look through the floors myself for an iron before an early meeting. They also wouldn't provide invoices. There are plenty of other hotels here, and I recommend choosing one. With no staff there, you could end up out on the street overnight.
