ibis budget Winterthur

The location worked well for me since my friend lived within walking distance. It was also convenient to have a 24-hour gas station nearby for good food and drinks. The hotel took out our trash and replenished towels and toilet paper each day, which was helpful. But our room wasn't clean when we arrived. There was dirt and hair on the beds and hair throughout the room. It was unusually hot that week, and the AC couldn't make it cool enough to sleep comfortably. The room was much smaller than I expected for two people, with nowhere to put our luggage, so we were stepping around it all week.

A restful one-night stop, with comfortable beds and a McDonald’s right next door. There were three of us, and we had three single beds.

The receptionist kindly helped sort things out after I booked the wrong dates by mistake. I appreciated that, though I was caught off guard by the separate parking charge. The room had no view and felt rather like a prison. We got by, but the experience left us with a pretty harsh impression of Switzerland.

We’ve stayed with IBIS for the second time, after visiting the Ibis Hotel in Zurich a year ago. The location was very good, the rooms were clean and the staff were great. Thank you, see you soon.
