8/10
Everything was spotless and neat, and I enjoyed my spacious single room with a view. Breakfast was served at a set table and was amazing. The hotel is a bit outdated, but it has charm and feels authentic. I really enjoyed that old-school hospitality.

6/10
The beds were comfortable and the room was quiet, but it looked as though it hadn’t been updated since the 70s. This is a very basic hotel, about a five- or ten-minute walk uphill from the train station. Breakfast was average.

10/10
The rooms feel a little dated, though they were clean. Service was good, breakfast was great, and the staff were pleasant. The location works perfectly for the train station, old town, and lake.

We had a lovely two-night stay at The Hotel Elite and would come back. Our room was small but comfortable and very clean. Being in a corner on the upper floor meant it got plenty of light and air. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the price was a great value. The train station is close, though getting there means tackling one of Lausanne’s steep hills. We recommend it.

From the top floor at the front of the building, the view won’t disappoint. The room itself was excellent, and the blinds and AC made it easy to sleep well. The staff were friendly and very helpful, which is all you can really ask for.
