Our children had a great time running around the property and playing with the owners’ young child and their cats. We also found lovely walks just minutes away, and learned a lot about local history, especially at the nearby underground mill in Le Locle. We can’t wait to return to La Baume and spend longer in this beautiful spot. Le Relais de la Baume is a peaceful, comfortable retreat and a handy base for exploring the region. The apartment has everything you might need. The hosts were so welcoming and helpful, and enjoy sharing their local knowledge and tips. They also speak German and English.

We relaxed really well in this cozy, clean studio. It has a practical, well-equipped kitchen and bathroom, with a nice blend of rustic and modern touches. The setting is idyllic, surrounded by nature, and the friendly cats were a lovely touch. It’s a good base for sightseeing and hiking nearby. The host speaks Swiss German.

Everything was provided in the comfortable studio, and the family gave us a lovely warm welcome. Surrounded by greenery, or snow, it’s a great place to unwind and go for walks. I highly recommend it.

They speak French only, unfortunately, but we managed just fine without it. The hostess also gave us good suggestions for places to eat. Breakfast was excellent, made with local products and served in a rustic setting, or outside when the weather was nice. Everyone was very friendly.
