The staff were kind, warm, and professional from the moment we arrived, and the hotel was spotless. We slept very comfortably, and breakfast had lots of high-quality choices in a lovely dining room. The historic building has beautiful architecture and a classic Swiss feel. There's convenient parking, a well-equipped spa, and a heated indoor pool for unwinding after sightseeing. Grand Hotel Beau-Rivage Interlaken is a luxurious, comfortable choice in Interlaken with excellent service.

I had a great time here for two nights. The room was spotless, the bed super comfortable, and the amenities were excellent. I ended up at the hotel bar both evenings, where Humberto made outstanding cocktails and brought such great energy. I really enjoyed chatting with him over the drinks. The bar is worth a visit even if you're not staying at the hotel.

Our riverside suite had glorious views, and the warm pool was clean and well maintained. We were well looked after throughout, from the welcome at arrival to the service and comfortable surroundings around the hotel. It was a convenient base for getting around: we could walk along the river to Unterseen, and also reach the Harder Kulm funicular, Interlaken Ost train station, and the shops and restaurants on the Hoheweg Boulevard, all with the mountains in the background.

We arrived at the bar at 10:20 PM, before its stated 11 PM closing time, and were told they “close earlier when there are no guests.” So the published hours didn't seem dependable, and our expectations as guests didn't matter. Earlier, the chef de rang had failed to recognize our confirmed restaurant reservation and showed no interest in fixing the mistake. There was no apology or sense of responsibility, and no attempt to help. The dismissive response left us feeling unwelcome at a place we'd chosen carefully. Reliability, accountability, and respect are part of professional hospitality, and we experienced none of them. It's hard to square that service with an establishment that aims to be high quality.

We had nice rooms, great views, a pool, and restaurants, all in a good location. The staff were friendly and approachable, always around and making an effort to communicate. If they speak your language, they will. I'd recommend the hotel and would come back.
