This place might work well for workers, but I wouldn’t recommend it to a woman looking for somewhere clean and safe to stay temporarily. The agency itself is good: they listen to your concerns and try to sort them out when they can. The Lengnau listing should say clearly that it’s intended for workers, so people know what to expect.

The room was tidy and quite nice, and the manager explained the bed situation in advance. The listing showed a double bed, but the previous renter had broken it and it hadn’t been replaced. They put in an extra single bed instead, which helped, but it was still disappointing. During our two-month stay, the room’s trash was taken out only once. The shared kitchen was another issue: we were told renters should clean up after themselves, yet the sink was often blocked with dirty dishes and pans, the trash overflowed, and the room felt grimy and dusty. The fridges were too small to fit much. For the rent they charge, it just doesn’t feel like a good deal.

People take food from the fridges, and the owners charge for room cleaning without actually doing it. Internet problems, all the time!!!!!

Communication was seamless, and we found supermarkets, restaurants, and different attractions right nearby. Our room was comfortable and, above all, clean, with what we needed for everyday life. There was Wi-Fi, dishes, and a fridge, plus free use of a washing machine and dryer. We had a lovely, unforgettable vacation and would happily come back.

The room was clean and pleasantly furnished, and I could get on with my work there in peace.
