Hotel Sternen Budget

We were there out of season, so it was very quiet, and the hotel is centrally located with shops and bars nearby. This is a budget hotel and did fall a little short of what I expected. Breakfast was great, with five star service from a lady who couldn't have been more helpful. Room 8 was a good sized corner room, light and airy. The shower was amazing, with a disco light in the shower head that changed from green to amber to red if you took too long. Plenty of hot water and a steady flow. There was almost no soap, just one 10 ml sachet for two people for three nights. Both bedside lights were broken, with loose bulbs. One was so bright you couldn't look at it, and the other so dim it could've been a child's night light. We saw no staff other than the breakfast lady. Reception was open to the public but unmanned. The budget hotel is an annex across the street from the actual hotel, and our key was left in an envelope at reception. My pillow was wafer thin, and there were no spares. The bed was comfy but very soft. I suppose you get what you pay for. I'd stay here again, but maybe bring my own pillow next time!
