Le Chamois Swiss Quality Hotel

The spectacular Alpine view and the setting are a big part of the appeal, especially if you love nature or skiing. Our room was comfortable and spotless, and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was generous and delicious, a great way to start the day. It was a peaceful, pleasant stay, and I'd highly recommend it.

They were cheerful and kind whenever our group had questions or requests, and they did their best to accommodate our food allergies and other requirements. Since I have severe dog allergies, they arranged a room where no dogs had ever stayed. The hotel was very clean. Still, dog-allergy sufferers should probably avoid it altogether, because there's carpeting in the dining area, halls, elevators, and stairs.

The TV in our room didn't work, and one of our fellow travelers couldn't shower because there was no hot water during her holiday. When she asked the boss for help, he said this was a "very, very big hotel" and she should let the water run. Nothing changed. It's actually a small hotel, run by a French boss who was arrogant and bossy with us and often commented on guests. Meals were another problem. Breakfast was the same every morning, with no vegetables, and felt boring and poor. Dinner portions were so small that you'd still be hungry afterward. Even though our group was the only one at the hotel, they couldn't get dinner ready on time. The gym was there but closed at six, so we weren't allowed to use it. During the European Soccer Championship, we watched a match and drank beer in the sport bar. At halftime, staff told us to finish our drinks right away, and we couldn't watch the second half. They said the bar closed at ten, but we were the only group there, so the behavior seemed ridiculous. This was the worst hotel of my life. John from Hungary.
