We got a great price for our one-night stay. The hotel has an appealing, luxurious 80s feel, but it’s vintage throughout and could probably use some renovation. We didn’t mind that. The receptionist was very kind, the bed was comfy, the central location was handy, and the view was amazing. I’d definitely recommend it, and we loved Leuk and will come back. The breakfast, though, felt too expensive for what was offered.

The stay was okay overall. The counter staff were very nice, and the sauna was pleasant and open around the clock. I booked through Trip.com, where the first night was reasonably priced for the season at about 82 CHF. For an extra night, the rate had doubled to about 146 CHF after breakfast was included. At that price we expected more, but it was only a standard continental breakfast, the kind that costs about half as much elsewhere. It wasn’t worth it. I’d recommend booking on the website with breakfast, since that price is worthwhile.

The food was very good, and breakfast had a good, generous selection. We also ate at the restaurant once, though it was a shame there were no Valais red wines. We booked only two nights at fairly short notice, so our rooms and beds were on the small side. The receptionist was exceptionally friendly and helpful, especially when we lost our key down the lift shaft! I’d recommend the hotel, but booking earlier should get you a better room.

The restaurant and breakfast were nice, and the staff friendly. It’s right in the middle of the village with a nice view. The rooms could be much nicer with a little refresh.

We had a good weekend hiking with our dog. The staff were friendly, the hotel welcomes dogs, and the rooms were spacious. Breakfast was sufficient, and the restaurant was nice, especially the delicious carbonara pasta. The place is a bit outdated and badly needs an update. The old bathrooms and rooms also had a bit of a stale smell.
