The owner is unbelievably friendly, and I could park my bike right beside reception, which was so cool. The shared room isn't quite state of the art anymore, but it is cosy, with a very pleasant duvet, bath towel, and shampoo provided. Fun fact, they must have the smallest toilet in Locarno, haha. For the price, this is probably the best value around. The location is fantastic, just 100 metres above Piazza Grande. Even a shabby campground by the lake would have cost a few francs more for just my single tent!

For Switzerland, it was cheap, and the place was really clean. The staff were kind, and the terrace had an adorable view. I'd definitely return.
