The value for the price in Rustic was great. The bed looked doubtful at first, but turned out to be very comfortable. Our room was quiet, and the shared bathrooms in the hall were clean. There were two toilets and showers on the ground floor and one on the first floor. It’s about a 20-minute walk to the lake. The hotel also has a locked bike storage room with tools, a bike stand, and a pump for quick fixes.

We had a bright room with big windows looking onto the garden, plus a private balcony. The hotel itself was quiet and has a large garden, and it’s a 20-minute walk from Ascona. Staff were friendly, attentive, and informative.

The breakfast was very good. There are two hotels here, one with two stars and the other with three, so check which one you’re booking.

There’s plenty of room to park the car. The hotel was very clean, and everyone was professional and friendly.

There were dead ants and other insects around, and it was a bit dirty. Still, it worked well for groups.
