Mattenhof Resort

I slept poorly on some mornings because the sound of other guests' doors closing seemed to rattle the balcony door and kept waking me. Bring earplugs if that would bother you. Still, we’d definitely stay again. The hotel room had a breathtaking mountain view, and though the beds were small, they were comfortable. The pillows squished easily, so I’d bring one or double up on the ones there. The cozy lobby has a pool table, other games, and a bar, with reception open around the clock and lovely staff. And Kiya, the ADORABLE st bernard in the lobby, comes over for pets. The train station is about a 20-minute walk, and I think there’s a bus nearby.

Petra was very helpful and accepted our short-notice request for an early check-in. The location suited us, and we were very satisfied with the amenities.

We could hear conversations clearly from the neighboring room, since the building isn't soundproof. On the plus side, our room was large, had a balcony and a great view, and the location was nice. There are good restaurants nearby, a bus stop close by for public transport, and parking is available.

The staff were very helpful, and free water is available at reception. There’s plenty of room to hang out in the common lounge, and you can eat your own food in the shared restaurant area too. Our room was spacious and cozy, with an amazing view and lots of space for belongings, bags, and hanging clothes. Very clean and tidy. Best hotel I have stayed in so far.
