Waldhotel Unspunnen

The mountain view alone felt worth the price, and there was a lovely balcony outside the bathroom. It was too cold for us to sit out there, but I imagine it’d be nice in summer. The room was a good size, though the hotel is clearly older and the floors creaked with every step. We didn’t hear noise from other rooms, so that was fine. Parking was a little annoying, with only a few spots out front and a lot around the corner. We could unload our things before moving the car. The location wasn’t bad, not far from things. Nice hotel, and we’d stay again.

We had a smooth check-in, reliable WiFi, and parking right at the hotel. The staff were warm and pleasant, and the breakfast selection was a nice surprise. It’s a historic hotel beside the woods, with a big shared terrace looking out at Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau. The place is dog-friendly and charming. Our room’s parquet floor squeaked a bit, and there was some noise inside the hotel.

We loved the restaurant and appreciated the free parking. The room was really comfortable, with a beautiful mountain view from the window. It’s also a great base for getting to Grindewald, Murren, and nearby places.

The balcony view was the highlight for me. Waking up to that stunning mountain scenery was wonderful. Waldhotel Unspunnen felt peaceful, clean, and well maintained, and the room, though a bit small, was tastefully decorated and cozy. I had a pleasant stay and would recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet place with beautiful views.
